Glimpses from the Inter Squadron Basketball Championship Finals between Cheetah Squadron and Daredevil Squadron scheduled on 03 Oct 16 at Indian Naval Academy

The finals of Inter Squadron Basketball and Football for Autumn Term 2016 were held at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala on Monday 03 September 2016 and Tuesday 04 September 2016 respectively. Each of the six squadrons represented by a total of 12 teams competed for the Inter Squadron Basketball and Football Championship Trophy.

A total of 180 league matches were played in the whole of last two weeks. The aim of these competitions is to ensure maximum participation and inculcate in each cadet qualities required to make him a „team player‟, a „team leader‟ and a „team builder‟ whilst promoting camaraderie, esprit-de-corps and a strong and abiding spirit of never giving up. Daredevil Squadron emerged victors in the Inter squadron Basketball Championship and Achiever Squadron in the Inter squadron Football Championship.

Glimpses from the Inter Squadron Football Championship Finals between Achiever Squadron and Braveheart Squadron scheduled on 04 Oct 16 at Indian Naval Academy

Rear Admiral KS Venugopal, Principal, INA presented the Championship Trophies and individual medals to the proud winners. In his address he emphasised each cadet to relentlessly pursue competitive sports of their choice to remain physically fit and psychologically strong throughout their military career. He also advised the cadets to never give up and continue fighting till the end as “It is never finished, till it is finished”.
