Visit of Cadets of Sainik School Kazhakkoottam to Naval Base, Kochi

A team of 70 cadets from Sainik School Kazhakkoottam visited Naval Base, Kochi on 27 Jan 2024 as part of their motivational and educational tour. The visit offered the young cadets glimpses of Naval way of life and varied facets of Naval training and operations. The cadets were introduced to ship handling, damage control and emergency procedures on training simulators at professional schools. At INS Garuda, they were explained roles and capabilities of various aircraft operating in air station. An exclusive visit onboard INS Shardul provided cadets a close-up view of day to day activities and life onboard warship. The tour concluded with a visit to the Indian Maritime Museum at Fort Kochi.The cadets had a memorable and enriching experience as they bid adieu inspired to join the Indian Navy and serve the nation.
