Rear Admiral Kiran Deshmukh was commissioned into Indian Navy in March 1986. The Flag Officer is an alumnus of DSSC Wellington and IIT Chennai. A recipient of Vishist Seva Medal, he has held several key appointments in his naval career which include afloat appointments onboard Indian Naval Ships Ranjit, Ranvir, Delhi and Tabar and ashore appointments including Command Engineering Officer, Eastern Naval Command, Principal Director Ship Production and various appointments at Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam. In the Flag Rank, Rear Admiral Kiran Deshmukh has been ACOM (D&R) at Naval Headquarters and CSO (Tech) at Eastern Naval Command
Rear Admiral Amit Bose, who was at the helm at Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam for 10 months, is now taking over as the Assistant Chief of Materiel (Modernization) at New Delhi.
