Puneet Sagar Abhiyaan.

(a) In keeping with the vision of ‘Swatchh Bharat Abhiyan’, National Cadet Corps has initiated a nationwide campaign ‘Puneet Sagar Abhiyaan’ to clean the sea shore/ beaches off plastic and other waste. The campaign is to be sustained for entire year and its scope has been expanded to cover river and lake fronts of non-coastal units. In its commitment towards maintaining clean environment, the unit has extended concerted efforts in this direction and coastal and marine clean ship drive under are being undertaken on monthly basis. (b) First Coastal and Marine Cleanship drive under ‘Puneet Sagar Abhiyaan’ was conducted on 21 Aug 22 along the coastal front and Salt pans on Bedi road (connecting Jamnagar city to the establishment). A team of 100 personnel including Officers and Sailors collected waste, which was segregated and disposed at a designated solid waste dumping ground under Jamnagar Municipal Corporation.
