62nd Inter Services Weight Lifting Championship
The 62nd Inter Services Weightlifting Championship 2018-19 was conducted at INS Valsura from 03 January and culminated on 05 January 2019. The event which was conducted under the aegis of Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) and was declared closed at Weightlifting Hall. Captain (TS) Dharmapal Singh, Secretary SSCB, Army representative- Lt Colonel Sudhakar Jayant, Air Force Representative - Group Captain Deepak Ahluwalia, Navy representative- Commander Vijay Kumar, senior officials, jury members, Officers and ships company of INS Valsura witnessed the closing ceremony of this prestigious championship. The three day long championship was conducted in ten weight categories of 55, 61, 67, 73, 81, 89, 96, 102, 109 and +109 Kgs.The prize distribution ceremony was attended by Cmde C Raghuram, VSM, Air Cmde VM Reddy, and Col Shantanu Mainkov.
