Visit of Iran Navy Ships to Mumbai (15-18 Mar)

Islamic Republic of Iran Navy Ships Bushehr and Tonb, commanded by Commander Mahdi Belvardi and Commander Mohammad Hajizadeh respectively, with Captain Hasan Beygi, Mission Commander, visited Mumbai from 15-18 March 2024. They were accorded a warm traditional welcome on their arrival. The ships are a part of Iranian Training Flotilla with 240 officer cadets undergoing training onboard. The Mission Commander and Commanding Officers along with Colonel Hasan Momeni, Iranian Defence Attaché called on Rear Admiral CR Praveen Nair FOCWF and discussed matters of mutual interest. A number of professional and social engagements were held between the two sides during the visit, including an educational tour of Naval Dockyard, Mumbai for Iranian Naval officer cadets. HE Davoud Rezaei Eskandari, Consul General of Iran was present during ship visit.
