Vice Adm Rajesh Pendharkar takes over as the Flag Officer Commanding-In-Chief, ENC

VAdm Rajesh Pendharkar, assumed charge as FOCINC ENC at an impressive Ceremonial Parade held at Naval Base on 01 Aug 2023. VAdm Pendharkar inspected Ceremonial Guard and reviewed platoons of naval and DSC personnel represented by various ships and establishments of ENC. The ceremony was attended by all Flag Officers and Commanding Officers of ships, submarines and establishments. Commissioned into Indian Navy in Jan 1987, VAdm Pendharkar, is an alumnus of NDA and graduate of DSSC, Wellington, NWC, Karanja, and NCC, Newport, Rhode Island, USA. He holds a Master’s Degree in Defence and Strategic Studies. An Anti-Submarine Warfare specialist, Admiral has held various Operational, Staff and Command appointments in course of his distinguished career spanning over 36 years. He has commanded three frontline ships – INS Kora, INS Shivalik and INS Viraat. His important staff appointments include Joint Directors in DSR and DOP, Principal Directors in DNCO and DOP. On promotion to the rank of RAdm, he was appointed as Assistant Chief of Integrated Defence Staff at HQIDS, New Delhi, and as CSO(Operations) in WNC . Subsequently he held appointment as Flag Officer Commanding Maharashtra Naval Area followed by FOST. Prior assuming the command of ENC, the Flag officer was carrying out duties of DGNO at IHQ MoD (Navy) and Deputy Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (Operations) at New Delhi. The Flag Officer is a recipient of AVSM and VSM for distinguished service.
