A Sutureless Corneal Transplantation (Intraop OCT guided Descemet Stripping Automated Endothelial keratoplasty) with good postoperative outcome has been successfully conducted for the first time at INHS Asvini. The operation was undertaken on a serving officer of the Indian Navy with Iridocorneal Endothelial Syndrome using state of the art Automated Microkeratome to give a thin donor cornea cut of uniform thickness. Intraoperative OCT microscope guided the donor cornea dissection, its correct insertion and on table confirmation of its apposition to the eye from inside. This capability greatly enhances the holistic care being provided at INHS Asvini.
