Standing Committee on Defence Visits Western Naval Command and Naval Dockyard at Mumbai

The Standing Committee on Defence led by Major General BC Khanduri (Retd) comprising six members visited Western Naval Command on 21 April 2018. The delegation was apprised on the role, responsibilities and preparedness of the Command by Vice Admiral Girish Luthra, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command and all Flag Officers at a formal presentation, which was followed by an interaction. The Parliamentary Committee also visited the new Dry Dock at Naval Dockyard, Mumbai, stealth destroyer INS Kochi and submarine INS Kalvari.
