SNC Undertakes Medical Evacuation of Patients from Agathi to Kochi

The Southern Naval Command carried out medical evacuation of two seriously ill patients, who were comatose due to Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever, from Agatti, Lakshadweep and Minicoy (L&M) islands to Kochi on 30 June 2018. The request for medical evacuation of the patients was received by the Indian Navy from L&M administration during the day on 30 June 2018. A naval Dornier was launched, with medical personnel embarked, to evacuate the patients from Agatti to Kochi. The patients, alongwith escorting family members, were brought to Kochi for admission to civil hospital.
