SCC Cadets Annual Training Camp – 2019 Conducted at Kochi

137 boy and 43 girl cadets participated in the Annual Training Camp of Sea Cadet Corps, Kochi unit conducted at Seamanship School, Naval Base, Kochi from 24 April to 01 May 2019. The aim of the camp was to inculcate qualities of discipline, leadership, courage and spirit of adventure amongst school going children. During the camp, the sea cadets undertook various activities such as parade training, boat pulling, sailing, firing and swimming. They also participated in sports and camp games such as tug of war and other inter divisional competitions and also visited ASW School, Diving School, INS Garuda and INS Sunayna. The cadets presented a cultural programme which provided them an opportunity to display their talent and culminated with a ceremonial parade. Both these events were attended by parents of participating children. The events and activities organised during the camp provided an opportunity for the sea cadets to gain an insight into naval life and give them the motivation for choosing armed forces as a career.
