Overwhelming Response to Ex-Servicemen Job Fair in Mumbai

Directorate General of Resettlement, Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, MOD organised an Employment Seminar/Job Fair on 02 Mar 2024 at Sports Ground, INS Tanaji, Mumbai to bring the Ex-Servicemen seeking re-employment and Employment providers on a common platform. The event received an overwhelming response from Ex-Servicemen from Maharashtra. Close to 500 Ex-Servicemen from Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air force registered for seeking employment. 30 Companies participated in the Job Fair offering 1940 Vacancies. The shortlisted ESM would be interviewed/ screened and subsequently employed in appointments ranging from Senior Supervisors, Mid/ Senior level managers to Strategic Planners and Project Directors. The event was beneficial for both Corporate and Veterans. The veterans got a platform to showcase their technical and administrative prowess acquired during their years in service and the Corporates benefitted by screening the group of experienced, disciplined and trained Ex-Servicemen. Entrepreneurship models were also presented by various Companies during the Job Fair. The Job Fair was inaugurated by Rear Admiral Rajat Kapoor, CSO(P&A), WNC in presence of Ms. Ruchira Bhardwaja, Joint President & CHRO, Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance, Guest of Honour, Brig Rohit Mehta , ADG, DRZ (South) and Commodore RS Sunil, CO, INS Tanaji.
