Navy Hockey team wins 125th edition of the coveted Beighton Cup tournament at Kolkata on 28 Jan 2024 by beating the star studed Indian Oil team in the cliffhanger of a final in the tie breaker. Sanjay (PO) of IndianNavy was adjudged the player of the tournament. Navy team, the defending champions, beat Central Secretariat in the first round, South Central Railways in quarters and Army Red team in the Semi Finals enroute to the victory in the finals of the oldest knockout Hockey tournament in the country. After Nehrucup victory earlier this month, this is the second major victory for the Navy team.
