On the occasion of Navy Day, Vice Admiral AR Karve, AVSM, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command laid the wreath at the War Memorial inside Naval Base, Kochi on 04 Dec 2016 as a mark of respect and gratitude to the martyrs.

Wreath laying is traditionally done every year on important days to honour the supreme sacrifice made by the martyrs and to reaffirm the nation’s gratitude to all the departed souls.
