MILAN 2024 being hosted by Indian Navy from 19-27 Feb 2024 witnessed conduct of many events including Health Trek and Yoga, MILAN of Young Officers, DSRV Demo and FDR of International city parade with Air Demo. Embarking on a journey of wellbeing at MILAN24, an early morning enchanting Health Trek was flagged off from Dolphinhill uniting over 600 plus personnel from Indian Navy and FFNs followed by a serene Yoga session at Yarada Beach. 50 young officers from FFC received hands-on experience across various IN platforms. The unique opportunity to sail on STS INS Tarangini was the highlight which forged lasting bonds. Young officers learned traditional seamanship and navigated the open sea together, transcending borders and building lasting friendships. In addition, MWC offered cutting-edge ship-handling simulators, allowing young officers to hone their navigation skills in diverse scenarios. Through Deep Submergene Rescue Vehicle Demo at HSL Visakhapatnam, Indian Navy showcased Cutting-Edge Submarine Rescue Technology in MILAN24. This landmark occasion offered a first hand glimpse into the future of underwater rescue operations. With acquisition of two DSRVs in 2018, IN has joined a select group of nations which have capability of rescue missions at staggering depths of up to 650 meters. This demonstration has heralded a new era of maritime safety and collaboration across oceans. The city also witnessed a mesmerising Full Dress Rehearsal of International City Parade, held along the iconic RK Beach. The rehearsal painted a vibrant picture of diverse cultures and maritime prowess participating in the upcoming exercise. More than 2,000 personnel from Navies across the world marched with pride, their synchronized steps echoing spirit of International Cooperation. During Air Demo, the air resonated with patriotic music as marching bands from India and other participating nations enthralled the audience. The event was reviewed by FOCINC ENC. The event also showcased the performance of school children and Sea Cadets.
