Maiden DRDO Scientists Interaction Programme at SNC

40 scientists from multiple fields of DRDO visited Southern Naval Command SNC, Kochi from 02 to 06 April 2024 as part of maiden Scientists Interaction Programme. Dr Chandrika Kaushik, OS and DG (Production Coordination and Services Interaction) delivered a talk on "Overview of Naval Systems Under Design and Development", during inaugural session on 03 April 2024. She called on Vice Admiral V Srinivas, FOCINC SNC and discussed collaborative efforts to strengthen maritime defence and training capabilities. The scientists had the opportunity to visit various professional Naval training Schools and establishments at Kochi as part of the programme. An exclusive ‘Day at Sea’ onboard INS Sagardhwani was also conducted for the scientists on 04 April 2024. The programme was aimed at providing first hand exposure on various aspects of Indian Navy to the scientists, and enable IN to share problem statements directly with the scientists
