Launch and Keel Laying of 25t Bollard Pull Tug Bahubali and Yuvan at M/s Titagarh Rail Systems Limited, Kolkata

2nd 25T Bollard Pull Tug, Bahubali was launched and Keel for 4th 25T BP Tug Yuvan was laid by Commodore Atul Maini, President SSB Kolkata on 12 March 2024 at M/s Titagarh Rail Systems Limited, Kolkata. The Tug is a proud flag bearer of Make in India initiative of GoI. Contract for construction and delivery of six 25T BP Tugs was concluded with M/s Titagarh Rail Systems Limited in consonance with Aatma nirbhar Bharat initiative of GoI. These Tugs are being built under the classification rules of Indian Register of Shipping IRS. The availability of Tugs will provide impetus to operational commitments of Indian Navy by facilitating assistance to ships and submarines during berthing and un-berthing, turning and manoeuvring in confined waters. The Tugs will also provide afloat fire fighting assistance to ships alongside and at anchorage. They will also have capability to conduct limited SAR.
