Inter Squadron Novices Cross Country Championship Held at Indian Naval Academy
The Inter Squadron Novices Cross Country Championship for the First term Cadets and Naval Orientation Cadets was held on Sunday, 26 March 2017. This prestigious event, which challenges the limits of physical stamina, mettle and will power in cadets, was flagged off by Rear Admiral Amit Vikram, Principal, Indian Naval Academy (INA) at 0615 A.M. 225 Cadets from the six squadrons of the academy participated in the event. The male cadets ran a course of eight km across varying terrain in and around Ezhimala. There were also 20 female cadets, for whom the route was a six km stretch.

Daredevil Squadron emerged victorious in the championship, while Cadet Ankush Dwivedi of Eagle Squadron secured the first position, clocking 32 minutes and 50 seconds. Cadet Ankita Shambhudas of Eagle Squadron stood first among female cadets with a timing of 38 minutes and 37 seconds.
