Inter Divisional English Debate – INS Chilka

The Inter Divisional English Debate Competition for Batch 01/2018 was conducted at INS Chilka on 02 May 18. Two trainees each from all 10 divisions participated in the event. Five different topics were alloted on which the trainees debated with each other.

Abhimanyu division was awarded the first position and Marakkar division was awarded the second position. SP Sidharth, Senior Secondary Recruit and Avinash B, Senior Secondary Recruit  were adjudged the best speakers of the debate.

Commodore Manish Misra, Commanding Officer INS Chilka awarded prizes to the best divisions and best speakers. INS Chilka is the premier basic training establishment of the Indian Navy located in Odisha for imparting ab-initio training to sailors and naviks of the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard respectively.
