Indian Naval Symphonic Band Concert at Kolkata

The Indian Naval Symphonic Orchestra comprising over 80 naval musicians performed at Kala Mandir Auditorium, Kolkata on 27 and 28 February 2020. A total of four concerts were held in which over 3400 school children and 1200 adults witnessed the performance. The band was conducted by Assistant Director of Music (Navy) who is an alumnus of The Royal School of Music, London. The band concerts enthralled the audience and played scores of various genres ranging from classical, English, Hindi and Bengali numbers. His Excellency Shri Jagdip Dhankar, Governor of West Bengal was the Chief Guest of the final show. The performance ended with a score titled the 'Tri-Service Marching Medley' comprising the marching tunes of the Indian Navy, Indian Airforce, Indian Army and finally culminating to the ever-popular 'Sare Jahan Se Accha'.
