INAS 330 Anniversary

Indian Naval Air Squadron 330 INAS 330 celebrated its 53rd anniversary on 17 April 2024. The squadron was commissioned in 1971 and was baptised by fire during the 1971 Indo Pak war. The squadron nicknamed Harpoons, operates Sea King Mk 42B ASW helicopters that can undertake maritime surveillance and are equipped with torpedoes, missiles and depth charges. The helicopters aptly enjoy the sobriquet of ‘The Flying Frigate’. The squadron’s unrelenting vigour is reflected in its motto, "Any Sea. Any Mission. Any Deck."
