Hon'ble Governor of Gujarat Visits Gujarat, Daman and Diu Naval Area

The Hon'ble Governor of Gujarat Shri Acharya Devvrat visited Gujarat, Daman and Diu Naval Area on 26 October 2019 to familiarise himself with various facets of naval operations. He was received by the Flag Officer Commanding Gujarat Naval Area and President NWWA (GD&D) at Porbandar. Salient aspects of Force Protection Measures and methodologies of securing critical naval infrastructure were demonstrated during a sortie on the Navy's Fast Interceptor Craft to the Hon'ble Governor. He was also shown glimpses of life onboard a frontline naval warship during a conducted tour of INS Beas. The crucial role played by the Indian Navy in ensuring protection of India's vast coastline was demonstrated during his visit to the Naval Air Enclave. The Hon'ble Governor also interacted with naval personnel to understand, first-hand, the challenges of life at sea.
