Gujarat Flood Relief Operation

The Indian Navy continued its relief and rescue efforts in Gujarat in coordination with Government of Gujarat through the State Emergency Operations Centre at Gandhinagar. Naval units in Gujarat have been mobilised and Indian Navy diving teams are deployed for relief operations in Jamnagar, Banaskantha, Santalpur and Diu. A naval Seaking helicopter undertook a five hour recce sortie along the main Narmada canal from Ahmedabad to the Rajasthan border and the Kutcher canal from the Banas intersection to Santalpur. In addition INS Kochi is deployed at Porbandar with diving and medical teams and relief material.
