Chief of Defence Force, Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Visit to Kochi
Major General Ahmed Shiyam, Chief of Defence Force(CDF), Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) accompanied by his spouse Mrs Khateeja Naeem and MNDF delegation is visiting Kochi from 20 to 22 Sep 16.
Exchange of memento
At Kochi, the Chief of Defence Force, MNDF interacted with Rear Admiral RB Pandit, Chief of Staff, Southern Naval Command (SNC) and was briefed on IN training activities conducted by SNC. The delegation visited training facilities at Observer School, Indian Naval Air Squadron (INAS) 322 which has Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA), Naval Aircraft Yard facilites, Joint Operation Center and Indian Coast Guard ship C- 421. The CDF also had occassion to interact with the MNDF trainees who are undergoing training at the IN training facilities.
Interaction between the Indian and MNDF delegations
Mrs Khateeja Naeem had an elaborate interaction with members of Navy Wife Welfare Association, Southern Region {NWWA (SR)}. She also visited Kerala Folklore Museum and appreciated the cultural heritage of Kerala. Maj Gen Ahmad Shiyam, Mrs Khateeja Naeem and MNDF delegation took the opportunity to have glimpse of Kerala backwater at Kumarakoram, during the current visit. The delegation would be departing Kochi on 22 Sep 16.
The Chief of Defence Force, MNDF is on an official visit to India from 18 to 23 Sep 16. His visit is intended to consolidate bilateral relationship between India and Maldives.
