Change of Command - INS Shivaji

Commodore Sameer Chaudhry assumed duties of Commanding Officer, INS Shivaji, a premier Marine Engineering training establishment of Indian Navy from Commodore Mohit Goel in a ceremonial parade held on 11 March 2024 at Lonavla. Commodore Sameer Chaudhry is an alumnus of Sixth NEC and was commissioned on 27 November 1993. He has held tenures onboard Naval and Coast Guard ships, including Fleet Engineer Officer of Eastern Fleet. He holds M.Tech from IIT Powai in Corrosion Science and Engineering, M.Phil in Defence Studies and Masters in Management. He has undergone TMC and NHCC at NWC Goa. Prior to assuming command of INS Shivaji, he headed DME at NHQ NewDelhi
