Capsule Course on Basic Life Support and First Aid for Ladies Conducted at Kochi

A five-day capsule course on Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid for 30 ladies was conducted by Station Health Organisation, Naval Base Kochi from 23 to 27 April 2018 with the aim to enhance disaster preparedness of Kochi area. This is the second in the series of BLS and First Aid courses being conducted at Kochi, with the first having been conducted for children in March 2018. The capsule included lectures and practical demonstrations by doctors and nurses aimed at training ladies in First Aid and nursing procedures so that they can provide support during any disaster relief activity. Rear Admiral K Swaminathan, Chief Staff Officer (Training), SNC was the Chief Guest for the valedictory function.
