Capsule Course on Basic Life Support and First Aid for Children

A five-day capsule course on Basic Life Support and First Aid for children above 10 years was organised from 22 to 26 April 2019 at Naval Base, Kochi. The aim of the course was to train children in first aid and nursing procedures, so that they may develop a degree of self-reliance, provide help to the community and also be of assistance during disaster relief operations. 35 children were trained in the capsule course, which comprised lectures and practical demonstrations conducted by doctors and nurses from INHS Sanjivani. The Chief Guest for the valedictory function, Vice President NWWA (Southern Region), complimented Sanjivani for conducting the course.
