Riding on the triservices backbone, the NCN project will also be a key enabler of jointness in communications.

The NCN centre at INS Valsura is the first of the 33 NCN centres that would support the Naval Communication Network. It is equipped with state of the art networking equipment, a dedicated Equipment Room, HD auditorium and Tele-Presence facilities. The foundation stone for the project was laid on 06 December 2018 and the project involved laying of an Optical Fiber Cable connecting the establishment to other naval stations, as well as other control facilities. INS Valsura would also utilise the NCN infrastructure for offsite reskilling of naval personnel.

During his visit to INS Valsura, the Admiral also reviewed various training initiatives and infrastructure projects of the unit.
