Inter-Divisional Athletics Championship Conducted at INS Valsura

An Inter Divisional Athletics Championship was conducted at INS Valsura from 07 to 12 January 2019 with the objective of inculcating sportsmanship spirit, espirit-de-corps and developing high standards of physical and mental fitness. In addition to the Drona division represented by staff officers and sailors, trainees from six divisions viz. Arjun, Chakra, Dhanush, Tir, Teg and Talwar participated in the championship which included 16 track and field events. With 12 Gold and 07 Silver medals and scoring 177 points, Dhanush division was adjudged winners of the championship, while Teg division was runners up with 03 Gold and 04 Silver medals and Chakra division finished third with 01 Gold and 04 Silver medals. Captain PK Yaduvanshi, Training Captain, INS Valsura, the Chief Guest, presented medals and trophies to the winners.
