Infantry Weapon Training Simulator Inaugurated at INS Chilka

Infantry Weapon Training Simulator (IWTS) was inaugurated at INS Chilka on 25 October 2018 by Director, Maritime Warfare Centre, Kochi. The simulator recreates a Small Arms firing range indoors for practicing infantry combat, fire command and urban warfare. It facilitates marksmanship training, exercise battle handling of weapons and shot group analysis. The IWTS will give the trainees a simulated experience prior to live firing on the range. The IWTS is also an important training tool for sentry training. Director, Maritime Warfare Centre also conducted a lecture on the Navy's Core Values of 'Duty, Honour and Courage', wherein he recounted heroic deeds of Armed Forces personnel in the service of the nation.
