Joint Motor Cycle Expedition from Jamnagar and Porbander to Delhi

A joint Motor Cycle rally was organized by the Western Naval Command and Southern Naval Command from Gujarat seafront. The 16 member rally was headed by Cdr Ajay Sharma and included members of INS Dwarka, INS Sardar Patel, INS Valsura and Naval Air Enclave, Porbandar. The expedition was flagged off from Okha by NOIC (Gujarat) and Lt Gen(Retd) Mahipat Singhi on 12 Sep 15. The team passed through Ahmedabad, Udaipur, Ajmer, Jaipur and concluded at New Delhi on 17 Sep 15 covering an approximate distance of 1500 kms in 06 days. The rally was aimed to celebrate the golden jubilee of the historic win of the armed forces in 1965.
