Indian Naval Ships Visit Moroni at Comoros Islands

Indian Naval Ships Trikand and Mumbai are on a visit to Comoros Islands. Mr Youssoufa Mohamed Ali, Minister of Defence of Comoros visited INS Mumbai and interacted with the crew. Training on Fire-fighting, Bridgemanship and handling of small arms was conducted onboard INS Trikand for 15 personnel from the Comoros Coast Guard. Personnel from Comoros Port Authority and civilians also visited the ships. Friendly football and volleyball matches were conducted between teams from Indian ships and Comoros Coast Guard. In addition, a medical camp was also conducted by Indian naval personnel at ‘Service SANTÉ Militaire Hospital’ wherein patients were screened for diabetes, hypertension, cataract and upper respiratory infections and were provided with medicines.
