INS Tarangini at Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

INS Tarangini visited Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as a part of her seven-month long voyage themed ‘Sailing through Different Oceans and Uniting Nations’. The visit is aimed at enhancing defence cooperation and interaction between important navies of the Indian Ocean Region. During the stay in harbour, the Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia HE Shri Ahmad Javed visited the ship and addressed a press conference alongwith the Commanding Officer and Consul General, Shri Noor Rahman Sheikh.

The Commanding Officer called on Director General, Jeddah Islamic Port and the Director Coast Guard. Royal Saudi Naval Forces officers, officials from Indian Embassy, Indian school students and members of the Indian community also visited ship during her stay at Jeddah. INS Tarangini departed Jeddah for Valletta, Malta for the third leg of Lokayan18 on 06 May 2018 and is likely to arrive Valletta on 20 May 2018.
