Students Visits INS Sumitra at Gopalapuram, Chennai

As a part of Navy week celebrations 220 students from DAV girls school, Gopalapuram visited Indian Naval Ship Sumitra, at Chennai on 30 November 2017. The aim of the visit was to inform the students about the role of Indian Navy and promote Navy as a career. The students were conducted around the ship and were briefed about various weapons, sensors and capabilities of the ship. The students, in addition, interacted with crew and were provided glimpse of life onboard ships.
