The 12th Indian Navy (IN) - Royal Navy (RN) Executive Steering Group meeting was conducted from 13 to 15 June 2017 at London, United Kingdom. Rear Admiral Dhiren Vig, ACNS (FCI) led a three member IN delegation and Rear Admiral Nick Hines, ACNS (Policy) was the co-chair from RN side. The salient discussions included schedule of KONKAN 18, enhancing training interaction, cooperation in medical and technical fields, operationalisation of data exchange on White Shipping Information, engagement of think tanks and cooperation in areas identified under Capability Partnership.

Signing of minutes of meeting

Presentations by representatives from Babcock International, BAe Systems and MBDA Systems were also made during the meeting. The IN delegation visited the National Maritime Information Centre at QinetiQ Technology Park, Her Majesty's Naval Base Portsmouth and HMS Diamond, a Type 45 Destroyer, at Portsmouth. Rear Admiral Dhiren Vig called on the High Commissioner of India in London, the Second Sea Lord and the Commander of HMNB Portsmouth and also interacted with Rear Admiral Simon Williams, Navy Secretary during the visit.
