EEZ Surveillance off Male.  INS Karuva was deployed to undertake EEZ surveillance off Male from 25 to 31 Jan 16. Some important activities undertaken by the ship during the deployment are as follows:-   

(a) Call on High Commissioner. The Commanding Officer called on the High Commissioner of India to Maldives. The High Commissioner appreciated the efforts of Indian Navy in strengthening the relations between India and Maldives.

(b) Call on Commander Coast Guard.  The Commanding Officer of the ship called on MNDF Coast Guard Commander Col Mohamed Ibrahim on 25 Jan 16. The Commander CG expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by IN.

(c) Dress Overall.  The ship was dressed overall on the occasion of 67th Republic Day, as a sign of ceremonial courtesy in foreign waters.

(d) Visit of High Commission Staff. The High Commission of India staff visited the ship and interacted with the Ship’s Company.
