26TH INDO THAI CORPAT

The Royal Thailand Navy and the Indian Navy have been participating in Coordinated Patrols (CORPATs) in the Indian Ocean region since 2005. Royal Thailand Naval Ship HTMS Longlom arrived at Haddo Wharf, Port Blair to mark the culmination of 26th edition of the Indo- Thai CORPAT on 21 June 2018. A high level Thai Naval delegation led by Vice Admiral Sonuk Preampramot, Third Naval Area Commander of Thai Navy flew into Port Blair,  INS Utkrosh and the Admiral called on Vice Admiral Bimal Verma, AVSM, ADC, Commander-in-Chief Andaman and Nicobar Command.  Apart from keeping a vigil in the Indian Ocean Region the Coordinated Patrol also serves to enhance mutual understanding and inter–operability between the two navies.
