NCS Vizag Wins Inter NCS Debate Competition

Online Inter-NCS English debate competition titled ‘Disputandum’ was conducted by NCS (Vizag) on 20 Oct 20. Six NCSs from Delhi, Goa, Mumbai, Kochi, Port Blair and Vizag took part in the competition. The students debated over the topic -‘Likes and Approvals from Social Media Sites like Facebook and Instagram play a major role in developing one’s personality’.
 

The competition consisted of Proposition, Opposition and an additional round named Protestant. Mr Venkat Syamala Rao an educationalist, Mrs Aparna Jaiswal an entrepreneur and Capt R Desikan were the judges for the event.  In spite of being conducted online, the enthusiasm with which the students debated on this contemporary topic was admirable. The winners were judged based on their content, persuasive skills and confidence. Harsh Chauhan, NCS Vizag, Pratyush Singh, NCS Delhi and Sourish Panda, NCS Vizag have been adjudged as Best in Proposition, Opposition and Protestor respectively.  
 

NCS Vizag has been the overall winner of the 'Inter-NCS Debate Competition'. The competition ended with a group photography wherein all outstation participants joined through a digital platform.
