Maha-Navy Connect 2020 – Day 1

Maha-Navy Connect - 2020, comprising Endurance Run and Cycling, was flagged off from Mandwa on 06 January 2020. The Ultra Marathon of 65 Kms  followed by 124 Kms of cycling saw the participants going through Kolad and Harihareshwar via Agardanda Jetty. While at the sea front, IN sailing yacht INSV Hariyal spearheaded the yachting expedition and reached Arnala Fort. The crew of Hariyal  assisted the local administration through an hour long Swachhata Abhiyan conducted in the fort premises and saw active participation of school children and villagers. Campaigns were conducted at David's English Medium School, SM Vadke School, JSM College and BN High School. The expedition crew interacted with the students on the topics of Indian Navy, Coastal Security and Maritime Heritage. The team also interacted with Shri Raghuji Raje, a direct decedent of Sarkhel Kahnoji Angre.
