Walkathon to Commemorate 20th Kargil Vijay Diwas Anniversary Organised at Naval Station Bheemunipatnam

As part of Kargil Vijay Diwas Celebrations various activities were undertaken by units of ENC at Bheemunipatnam and Tirunelveli. A walkathon was flagged off by the Station Commander, Bheemunipatnam on 21 July 2019 for service personnel and families from Kalinga, Karna and NAI. Over 350 participants including MES and DSC personnel, Defence civilians and families participated in the event. The walkathon was preceded by a patriotic poetry recital. At Tirunelveli, over 100 personnel including naval and DSC personnel, Defence civilians and families participated in a Cyclothon from INS Kattabomman to Uvari Beach. The participants also undertook a cleanup drive at the beach.
