Passing Out Parade Held at INS Chilka

2,982 trainees of Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard of Batch 01/2019 graduated from INS Chilka at a Passing Out Parade held on 12 July 2019. The parade, reviewed by Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, marked the successful culmination of 21 weeks of basic training. The Reviewing Officer also presented medals and trophies to meritorious trainees on the occasion. V Bhaudauria Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR) and Tushar A Ghadage Matric Recruit (MR) from Indian Navy and Ashish Kumar Navik (General Duty) and Suresh Kumar M Navik (Domestic Branch) from Indian Coast Guard were adjudged Best Trainees in their respective categories. The ceremony was attended by proud parents and guardians of the graduating trainees, who made the journey to Chilka from various parts of the country. On 11 July 2019, the C-in-C also witnessed a vibrant Valedictory Function, which showcased cultural flair of the trainees. During the function, the Summer Edition of ‘Ankur’, the bilingual magazine of INS Chilka Batch 01/2019 was also released.
