Earth Day – 2019 at INS Chilka

INS Chilka observed Earth Day on 22 April 2019 with the aim to promote awareness amongst members of the station towards preservation of environment and sensitise them on environmental issues. Personnel were informed about conservation of natural resources, judicious use of water and electricity and encouraged to promote 100% ban on use of single use plastics. Tree Plantation, Mass Shramdaan, Yoga, Poster Competition, Prepared Talks, and screening of the movie ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ were organized for the trainees.
