62nd Inter Services Weightlifting Championship Conducted at INS Valsura, Gujrat

The 62nd Inter Services Weightlifting Championship was conducted at INS Valsura from 03 to 05 January 2019, under the aegis of Services Sports Control Board. The three-day championship was conducted in ten weight categories. Two teams from Indian Army (Army Red and Army Green) and one team each from the Indian Navy and Indian Air Force competed in each category. The Indian Air Force team was declared winners of the championship with 05 Gold and 03 Silver medals and scoring 77 points. The Indian Army Red team was the runners-up with 04 Golds and 04 Silvers, while Indian Navy team finished third, bagging 01 Gold and 02 Silvers. The Services team for the National Weightlifting Championships was also selected at the event.
