INDRA Navy-18 Concludes in Bay of Bengal

India Russia Maritime Bilateral Exercise, INDRA Navy 18 concluded in the Bay of Bengal on 16 December 2018. During the Sea Phase of the exercise, 10 ships of the two navies operated together as a Composite Task Force. One submarine and several aircraft from Indian Navy also participated in the exercise. The exercises conducted during the Sea Phase included VBSS drills, underway replenishment, Anti-Submarine Warfare manoeuvres and firing on aerial targets. The exercises at sea were progressed despite deteriorating weather conditions further enhancing interoperability between both the navies. INDRA Navy 18, the 10th edition of the exercise provided another opportunity to both the navies to operate with each other and exchange best practices.
