Passing Out Of Meat Course - INS Valsura

233 trainees from the Indian Navy and 10 from Indian Coast Guard of the Merged Electrical Artificer Training (MEAT) Course (Power and Radio) graduated at a Passing out Parade held at INS Valsura on 17 November 2018. The parade, reviewed by Flag Officer Gujarat Naval Area, marks the culmination of 105 weeks of training, wherein the trainees were exposed to a broad spectrum of technology subjects including Basic Electricity, Electronics, Control System, Communication Equipment and Technical Administration with emphasis on practical and hands on training. Apart from the technical training, the course also included regular physical and outdoor training for holistic development of the trainees. Admiral Ramnath Trophy for ‘Best All Round Sailor Mechnician’ was awarded to Bishamber Singh POELR, ‘Best All Round Sailor Naval Entry Artificer’ to Abhishek Upadhyay, LS(US), ‘Best All Round Sailor Apprentice’ to Sukhvinder Singh, EAP/ APP and Commanding Officer, INS Valsura Trophy for ‘Best Sportsmen’ to Deepak Tanwar EAP/ APP.
