INS Tarangini Departs Djibouti

INS Tarangini visited Djibouti as part of Lokayan-18, a seven-month long voyage with the theme ‘Sailing through Different Oceans and Uniting Nations’. As part of harbour activities, cross visit of personnel was undertaken with JMSDF Ship Izakuchi. Basic sail training, mast drills and procedures for harbour and sea stowage of sails was undertaken for Sea Trainees of 94 IOTC, who joined the ship at Djibouti. The ship’s crew and Sea Trainees also got an opportunity to visit Lake Assal, Belvedere Sul canyons and Lake Ghoubet. Mr Nalin Kothari, Honorary Consul of India to Djibouti visited the ship and was briefed about Lokayan-18 and sail training onboard. The ship departed Djibouti on 15 October 2018 and is scheduled to enter its home port Kochi on 01 November 2018.
