INS Tarangini Leaves Esbjerg After Participating in Tallships Race - 18

INS Tarangini visited Esbjerg, Denmark as a part of Lokayan-18, a seven-month long voyage themed ‘Sailing through Different Oceans and Uniting Nations’. The ship is participating in the Tall Ships Race-18, which commenced at Sunderland, UK on 14 July 2018 and the ship finished the first stage at Esbjerg, Denmark on 18 July 2018. More than 60 ‘Tall Ships’ of different classes are participating in the Race. While at Esbjerg, the crew participated in various activities. The ship’s team stood runners-up in football and was semi-finalist in tug of war. The crew also took part in a parade and was appreciated by the audience for their smart drill. Danish Navy personnel, Indian diaspora and local populace visited the ship at Esbjerg. The ship is presently on passage to Stavanger, Norway along with other ‘Tall Ships’ as a part of a ‘Cruise in Company’ and will enter Stavanger Port on 26 July 2018.
