Eastern Fleet on Overseas Deployment to Thailand

In pursuance of India’s Act East policy, Indian Naval Ships Sahyadri and Shakti are on a visit to Sattahip, Thailand with the aim to enhance maritime cooperation and bolster India’s strong bonds of friendship. As part of the visit, Rear Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet (FOCEF) briefed the media on the visit. FOCEF alongwith his team visited HTMS Chakri Naruebet and interacted with Royal Thai Navy (RTN) personnel. A team of Indian Navy personnel visited RTN Submarine Command Team Trainer and were briefed on the facility. A team of RTN personnel visited INS Sahyadri for planning of the Passage Exercise. In addition, a reception was hosted onboard, which was attended by HE Shir Bhagwant Singh Bishnoi Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Thailand and Rear Admiral Benya Boonsong, Commander of Fleet Training Command, RTN and dignitaries.
