INS Tarangini Enters Jeddah Islamic Port

INS Tarangini is on a visit to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia as part of the second leg of Lokayan-18, a seven-month long voyage with the theme ‘Sailing through Different Oceans and Uniting Nations’. During the passage from Salalah to Jeddah the ship covered 1350 nautical miles. The vessel experienced favourable winds and was able to set all sails to make good speed. The leg provided good seamanship and sail training experience for the crew as they had to carry out various sail changes. As part of the visit, apart from official calls, visits by Royal Saudi Naval Forces personnel, school students and members of the expatriate Indian community have been planned.
