Assistance to FV Mariam

One fishing vessel ‘Mariam’ was stranded approximately 100 nm off the coast of Ratnagiri on 04 February 2018. The fishing vessel had sailed from Kochi on 04 February 2018 and had run out of fuel. Accordingly, based on inputs, IN  Dornier was launched on AM 05 February 2018 to locate the vessel. Consequently, IN ship Chennai was diverted to close the fishing vessel on 05 February 2018. The IN ship provided 280 ltrs of fuel along with fresh water, food and other provisions to the fishing vessel.
